I've never been fired! It was obviously set up and they were hoping for it.

At first, I was stressed about money and all. Now, I'm not! Jon was determined to be 70% disabled due to his service in Iraq and we are going to be getting disability every month. It's only $50 less than our mortgage! I'm so excited! It's a huge stress relever! I'm going to start selling Tastefully Simple to make some money and stay home for a little while! It's actually going to be really nice! He is such a good boy and I love him to death! Here are a couple pictures of us enjoying the party!

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_8ozHpw1DdhM/SZxcGHAyX1I/AAAAAAAAAFo/PVXz_qXmMzM/s320/100_1068.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5304215721166921554" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_8ozHpw1DdhM/SZxcFpTlwfI/AAAAAAAAAFg/8-4eKyNk0cM/s320/100_1067.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5304215713192722930" />

Liam has started to call me mom. It's not all the time, but every once in a while. He'll then ask me,"You are like my mom, right Cheese?" How do you answer that? Yeah, I'm in the "MOM" roll, but I don't want to upset his real mom. I just tell him that he can call me whatever he would like to. He has now settled on second mom or "My Cheese". It makes my heart melt!

On Valentines morning, Jon left about 9:30 to go pick up Liam from his mom's house. They came back with a dozen of roses and candy from dad and a single yellow rose from Liam. I guess Jon grabbed flowers for me, and Liam looked at him and said, "I want to get Cheese a flower!" So, he picked out the rose for me. Is it bad that that single rose meant more to me than the dozen? I know Jon loves me and it was nice that he made the effort (finally), but to hear Liam wanting to make the effort for me? That's special and means something! I really do love him and appreciate him in my life!

Back to work I go

Thank you Jenna, Carrie and Kresta for the comments! In the last pictures, she was about 6 or 7 weeks old. She is definitely feeling better and she's in a much better mood.

I am back at work as of yesterday...boy! I am tired! I am jealous of you Carrie. I read your blog about being grateful to stay at home with your kids and I envy you...I wish I could stay home. It's nice to get away, and make some money, but it is tiring! I go from about 5 am to 10 pm, which isn't too bad, but I REALLY enjoy my sleep! If I could get 10 hours a night, I would love it! It's the second day, and I'm looking forward to the weekend! LOL! I can't wait to have more time with my little girl and some cute smiles from her!

Now that I'm at work, I have a faster upload of pictures, so I can add more:

Going To Church:

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_8ozHpw1DdhM/SZxZ552DM-I/AAAAAAAAAEw/DkmFl4vF0Yw/s320/100_1069.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5304213312450540514" />

Monday: Take 1 - The Old Lady

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_8ozHpw1DdhM/SZxaLgIx4UI/AAAAAAAAAE4/O5K1YsbsLlc/s320/100_1070.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5304213614787420482" />

Monday: Take 3 - Good one!

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_8ozHpw1DdhM/SZxaYKJYPwI/AAAAAAAAAFA/atinol2TyjU/s320/100_1072.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5304213832222654210" />

Kenley's favorite outfit...a wife of one of my dad's co-workers made this for her. By that time, she had had her cold for 2 1/2 weeks. The doctor was concerned about her not gaining weight and with the cough and conjestion, she decided to admit her to the hospital.

Unfortunately, at the same time, we were having tons of snow dumping down and it was pretty much a white-out. We totalled 24 inches.

My sister Kaici had come with Kenley and I. We went straight to the hospital and Kaici had to stay the night. We wound up being in the hospital for 52 hours. The doctor didn't tell me till later that she was concerned about Kenley's coloring...she was a little blue.

Well, we did x-rays and tests galor! One of the tests were an upper GI scan. She had to drink barium while they took the x-ray to see if there were any blockages which would account for her spitting up. Fortunately, there were no blockages, but I did notice that she didn't spit up any of the barium. I told the doctor, and she decided to put rice cereal in her formula to thicken it and see if it would work. It did! She is gaining about an ounce a day, which is what the doctor wanted!

I am still pumping my milk, but the doctor has her on nutremigin (sp?) formula for the next 2 weeks, and then we will see if I can go back to breast feeding. Unfortunately, I don't produce enough milk, so she'll have to have some formula. I'll have to thinken the breast milk it before I give it to her, which is okay, but a hastle. It's hard to pump in the night on top of the feedings, so we'll see what comes of this!

While in the hospital, they gave her breathing treatments, but they didn't work. We came home and had 2 horrible nights of her not sleeping because of not being able to breathe. We went to the doctor on saturday and now she has an ear-infection! lol! She's on antibiotics (finally) after her coughing for 22 days straight. Poor kid!

She is a new baby lately...she gives out smile for free if anyone wants them!

So, that is the lovely update.

Thank you Carrie for the advice, I'm hoping that we have things fixed and that they don't go on forever!

Pictures

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_8ozHpw1DdhM/SYeySx9WaaI/AAAAAAAAAD0/-tSFdZltuzg/s320/Kenley+sunshine+1-09.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5298399522342726050" />

Thank you to everyone who left comments!

I finally got dial-up internet at home and I'm kind of slow getting everything in order. Since we life out in the boonies, no one will give us internet except Comcast, and they won't come out till the snow is off the ground...well it doesn't seem like it's gonna stop snowing anytime soon! I appologize for the lack of pictures for so long...

It's been a had first 5 weeks of Kenley's life. She is a crier and screamer! It's a lot harder than I imagined, but I'm getting the hang of it. Kenley is really sick right now, and I've taken her to the dr's 3 times to get her better, but they don't give us anything! She has been coughing for 13 days now and she had pretty much lost her voice! I feel bad for her, but it's kind of nice to not have her screaming all the time! They think she might have acid reflux, so she's on that medicine...we'll see how that works!

She is having a problem gaining weight though...she eat A LOT, but she just wasn't putting on the lbs! As of last week, she was only 7 lbs. and 12 oz. when she was born at 7 lbs. 5 oz. They put her on a higher calerie diet and I had to start pumping and freezing my milk for later. When we went to the dr on monday, she was at 8 lbs. 1 oz., they were happy about. Well, being sicker this week, I'm sure she's not gaining as much weight because she isn't eating as much!

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_8ozHpw1DdhM/SYevTdAJqTI/AAAAAAAAADs/bkinyUvffNM/s320/Kenley+ooh+1-29-09.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5298396235362314546" />

Kenley Elizabeth Martin

I don't have much time. I believe it's been 6 weeks. I'm so stressed and hoping ends will meet so that we can make it through this maternity leave! Wish us luck!

A couple weeks ago, an old friend, Cyd came into town and her and I got to hang out. On her blog, she pretty much said everything I wanted to say. It was so great to have a friend that you haven't seen or talked to in a while come back and pick right back off where you were. We didn't do anything really outrageous or crazy, but I believe we both enjoyed eachother's company! It was a great day!

I am 15 days away from my due date. I'm definitely nervous. At my appointment on monday, my doctor said, "You have dialated a little and effaced quite a bit!" No, I know that it doesn't mean much for the dialation because that could wind up taking a while, but I believe the effacement does speak with a little more volume (someone please correct me if I'm wrong). I'm preparing myself a little bit more than I was...I think I was in denial that it's so close to being here, but now it's becoming more and more real! I am taking today to get everything at work in somewhat of an organization. I am in charge of my work moving this Saturday over to our new building! So, now I had to make sure I have all my reservation information passed on to everyone else, in case I'm not able to be there! It's a crazy feeling that at any moment at any time, my life will be sent into a spiral and things will change!

This past weekend, the family traveled up to my mom and dad's house in Milwaukee. My aunt and uncle came out from California and we were able to spend some time with them. I loved it! They both are a big part of my life. When I was out at school in Utah, they got me through it! I don't know how my uncle knew it, but every time I had a bad day, he seemed to call me as if on cue. A couple times, he would call and I would break into tears at the sound of his calming voice. He sensed I was upset and tell me that I was coming up to stay the weekend with them, and I would. My aunt would always have a great meal and spend time with me. I also cannot forget my cousins! Love them to death! They helped me forget my worries all the time. So, back to the point...it was really great to see my aunt and uncle and, yet again, can I say that they were AMAZING and such sweet people. When I get my camera to work, I'll be posting a few pics from our birthday dinner for my mom at Bennie Hauna's (sp?)

That's about all the updating I can do right now...gotta get back to work!

Prego Pics

I always seem to have a day where I bearly get ready, and that's the day I take the prego pics! lol! He misbehaves EVERY Thursday. I think he knows a couple things:

1. He's going to his mom's
2. He won't see his Dad till Saturday, so no punishment will ensue.

It may also be that I wake up on Thursdays ready for him to misbehave, and I expect it. That's something I need to work on!

Today, I swear he told my dog, Nova to partner up with him and not listen either! She is normally a VERY good dog. I let her outside in to go to the bathroom and stand on the porch. She does her thing and then comes running back inside. NOPE! NOT TODAY! She decided to run all over to the neighbors yard to play with the other dogs and had me walking through all types of mud and dog poop! By the time I got back home with her, and with all the stress of the dog and Liam, I started to have a contraction. It wasn't a big one, but it was enough to make me realize that I need to sit and relax a second. I'm 34 weeks along today, so I should be feeling contractions a little bit, but I haven't had too many of them! It's been a great start to the day! At least I'm off tomorrow and I can spend the whole day at home, relaxing! We've officially moved to our new home! :) Saturday, TONS of people showed up and helped us move. I truly felt like for once in my life I DO HAVE FRIENDS! So many people helped out and we moved in no time (when I say we, I mean everyone else...I wasn't much help at all!). Jon, Liam and myself stayed at the house Saturday night. I think Liam was the only one that slept good. Nova started pacing around 5:45 and wouldn't stop till we took her out. We couldn't get back into a good sleep at all and Liam woke up at 7. Sunday, I went a cleaned the whole apartment. 3 of the many people that helped the day before, helped me clean! I have NEVER had friends help me clean and I am so thankful for everything!

I hope everything else comes together like this weekend did!

CLOSING ON THE HOUSE TODAY!!!

At 4pm today...Jon and I will be signing our life away! Well, one of my co-workers likes to edit my emails every time I send them out and send me emails about how I HAVE to change it. This is a story in itself...but she requested that any responses go back to a group email that goes to her, my boss and myself. Well, one bank, that I have been working with on this issue emailed today. I tell her that I have it under control and because I guess this job thinks I'm so incompotent, she decides to call this lady as I'm in the middle of writing her my 3rd email in the email conversation I'm having with her! I am so irritated that I had to go into the other room and laugh it off! Sometimes I feel like no one thinks I have a brain in my body at this job!

Man...I feel bad for all the steam I'm going to let off on this guy tonight!

Stressful Life

It's been a while since I posted, so I thought I'd take a minute to vent some of my stress. I don't know if this will help, or get me more upset! Please don't read it if you don't wanna hear me gripe :P

We "should" close on our house this Friday. I put should in quotes because our LOVELY home builders cannot give us a closing date. We found out our closing date through our homeowners insurance guy! We called the homebuilders and they said, "Yeah, that's the tentative date." It's looking more and more like it will be the date.

We are doing the walk-through tonight, the inspector is coming tomorrow and the closing is Friday. I don't know what time, where or anything specific!

The homebuilders called Jon this morning and said, "Oh, this totally slipped my mind, but you have to have a mailbox up by tomorrow when the inspector comes." So, Jon and I are stressed at work (on the first REALLY cold day that NWI has had), worried about digging a whole tonight and having it up by tomorrow. Needless to say, I'm not in the mood to deal with this guy, Ray. He's the one doing the walk-through tonight and lets just say that he'll be lucky if I cool off by 5 p.m. because if not, he will have the wrath of me and my mom. For those of you who know my mom...that's not pretty!

Yesterday I found out I have gestational diabetes. As if I don't run around like a chicken with my head cut off, now I have to watch what I'm eating. Honestly, I'm not worried about the diabetes, I'm more worried about the stress affecting the baby. I'm trying to relax, but I don't have any time too!

So, I get home from the doctors (to pick up my "diet" list), I have a note on my door, from the apartment. If I move out by Monday morning, I don't have to pay for November and December's month's rent, plus I avoid a confrontation on 3 other issues that I have with the landlord. This is over $1400 in savings! We really want to do it, but that's more stress! That means we HAVE TO move this weekend. I just talked to the apartment complex and they want to at least come in this week and start painting! I have boxes and crap EVERYWHERE, plus they wouldn't want my dog there while they are painting!

I have to have the heat and electricity in the new house by Monday, and soon after, we need the water softener people to come out because I'm not a big well water fan! Then, Dish Network, which in turn, to save $5 a month, I need the phone company to come out. Once we have phone, then we need internet. And of course because we are out in the boonies, no 1 company does all 3...so we have 3 different bills per month and it saves us no money! YEAH!

On the positive side, I am pretty much packed, but I still feel like there is so much to do, that I don't relax enough to get a good night sleep. The baby doesn't help with that either! :)

Then, I need to figure out what I'm doing after I have the baby. I proposed something to my boss, and we were supposed to meet about it last week. Nothing around work goes by ANY schedule, so I have no idea when I will know what I'm doing and get any word from her! Plus, I feel like they don't want me to come back. Which, honestly would be fine by me, but only if we can do it financially!

A side note about work...they are building our new building. It's funny that every day I get asked when was the last time I saw the building and they all get shocked that it has changed so much and they say I need to get over there. EVERYONE, including the lady that was hired a month ago has a key...I DON'T!! They all made a special trip there last week to see the building, while I was left here to man the phone calls. Then, my boss' sister stopped by 2 times so far and saw it AND they made a special trip for our loan officer (and personal friend of the owners) to see the building. It's not that I long to see the building by any means, but it's just kind of rude...Oh! AND we are getting cubicals in the office. They said that I obviously would get first choice of location because I've been here the longest. COOL! Nope, the lady that got hired a month ago already chose hers! :) I don't even know my options because I've never seen them! :) Gotta love your career!

I'm not posting this to get sympathy, just venting! Sorry if you read through it and it wasn't entertaining...I guess this post really just benefits me! :)

Appreciating Life

Today, me and a couple of the ladies up at work started talking about death. Now, not in a morbid way, but in a "Realizing what you've got" way.

Jon's grandmother, who is in her 70's has stomach cancer, and who knows how long she will stay alive. She has decided to stop Chemo. She is such a sweet lady that I have just recently got to know. We went and visited her in the hospital last month, and her zest for life and querkiness amazed me. Jon's dad (not her son, but she treats him like he is) told her that if she needs anything, to let him know because he's retired now. She looked a him and said, "I've been retarded for a while!" It was a well-needed laugh.

Jon's cousin's wife is about 27 or 28 and she's got Hodgekins. It's sad to see such a beautiful girl suffering.

I have been so blessed in my life to not have been directly affected with Cancer (yet). Nowadays, you have to expect it and kind of brace yourself for it. There are so many people who have it and many more that are diagnosed every day!

One of the ladies at work said that the other day on Oprah (blah! I'm not a fan of her's AT ALL) that there was a lady that knew she was dying. I can't remember if it was from Cancer or something else, but she made a video diary of things she wants to say to her daughter. Her daughter was young and she went through each step of her life with her daughter and talked about everything. I don't know if I could do this. That is something I've been thinking about a lot lately, especially with a child on the way! I want to be here for her life, but what if (God forbid) something happens in child-birth, or while she's still young? What if I'm taken away from my family and I don't have the chance to go through life experiences. Is this something I should concider? I guess I'm being a pessimist for the moment, but at some time, in our lives, we do have to prepare for the worst!

Thank God for what I have been blessed with and may God bless those of you who know someone with this and many other terribly sad diseases!

High School Tag

HIGH SCHOOL TAG - Thanks Cyd :)

1. Did you date someone from your high school?:

Yeah, a few people...now I'm engaged to someone I graduated with :)

2. What kind of car did you drive?:

1997 Grand Am. I loved that car! RIP.

3. What is your most embarrassing moment in high school?

Yeah, I try and avoid the re-living of embarrassing moments b/c there are so many of them. I'm embarrassed now, just trying to think of the most embarrassing!!!

4. Were you a party animal?

Not at all!

5. Where you considered a flirt?

No, I don't think I know how to flirt!

6. Were you in band, orchestra, or choir?:

Band in middle school and choir in high school. That was a waste of class! Senior year, the teacher was never even there! We just got a free class (unfortunately, it was right before my study hall and then I went home after that, so it was definately a waste)

7. Were you a nerd?

I guess you could say so. I didn't hang out with the preppy crowd. I didn't really hang out with anyone except Rachel Brown. I had a lot of friends in different crowds and didn't really care what I was labeled.

8. Were you on any varsity teams?

No. I ran track, but quit b/c of the stupid coach. Don't worry, I wasn't even good at it :)

9. Did you get suspended/expelled?

Nope

10. Can you still sing the fight song?

unfortunately. and do the dance.

11. Who were your favorite teachers?

Mr. Johnson and a few others...I'm not good w/ names!

12. Where did you sit during lunch?

Freshman year, I was with Stefanie Kurfman and we actually sat with a bunch of people, including my fiance. That's how we met. By senior year, I just sat wherever I knew someone, if I stayed for lunch.

13. School Mascot?

Trojans

14. Did you go to homecoming and with who?

Never went to homecoming. I only went to 3 dances total. 1 I asked my date, 1 was asked the week before and went out of pitty and then Sr. Prom b/c Steve and I were dating.

15. If you could go back and do it again, would you?

Nope. I'm more comfortable with myself now. High school makes you too insecure!

16. What do you remember most about graduation?

I had told my parents that after I got my diploma, I was going to keep on walking and walk home (it was only a block away). I really should have done it!

17. Where did you go senior skip day?

I don't think I ever skipped on that day...I have a bad memory.

18. Have you gained weight since then?

OF COURSE! Especially now that I'm pregos! :)

19. Who was your prom date?

My one and only Senior year prom was with Steve Vrska.

20. Are you planning on going to your 10 year reunion?

Yeah, If Jon wants to go, I'll go with him.

21. Looking back, what advice would you give yourself?

Don't worry about what those idiots are thinking, be yourself! Be happy and comfortable with who you are. I'll be 40 weeks on December 25th. The doctor is putting my due date as Janurary 9th. He said that he won't let me go 8-9 days over that date. I don't know if I'll even last that long! But what do you tell your doctor!?! I have a feeling that I'll be in labor within December. I'm getting nervous, but I'm ready!

House:

The house is on the foundation. They poured the basement steps today. I got to see the unfinished house yesterday...it's surreal that it's going to be ours! I'm excited. My parent's offered to buy us our fence as soon as we move in...that was an amazing offer! Financially, this takes a lot of stress off of us and I'm so grateful for them!

Wedding:

Oh, the wedding. Not much new has happened because there are a few more immediate things to get done! :)

Job:

This could get a post all by itself! I'll be straight and to the point. I'm not happy...as soon as I have the baby, I'll probably be looking for a new job! Any suggestions...????

That's about all for now...Oh, and I'm going to a cubs game on saturday!! :) Liam's first game!

Pics

This is for Erica! This time was different.

With all the stress and turmoil I have been going through, this vacation was very welcoming! I am constantly on the go and this was a nice vacation to slap me in the face and say, "You need to take it easy!"

I learned a lot about my grandpa. A little too late, he passed away 4 years ago! I got choked up numerous of times because I would hear stories of him. I learned about my Great-Grandpa Ralph...that's an interesting story of how he died :) I learned about my grandma and her raising. It helped me understand why she is the way she is now. I got to spend some time with my EXTREMELY adorable 2nd cousins (by the way, I think we found Liam's future wife! lol) And I got to spend some time with my Aunt, Uncle and cousin.

I guess all in all, I felt loved and it was great! I felt welcome and relaxed and it was exactly what I needed!

It's A....

The ultrasound was this morning. I couldn't sleep too well last night because I wanted to know so bad. It's not that it's disappointing, it's that it's not a "For Sure". I know they can't say for sure most times, but it doesn't seem very positive either.

It's a GIRL!!!!

Ultimately, I wanted a boy, but I'm really excited for the girl. Jon has his son, so now he will have his little girl. Plus, his side of the family are mostly males, so it'll be nice to have a little girl. And the best part is for Liam. It might be too much competition, especially since he's not with Jon all the time.

The down side is that my extended family are mainly girls, so they wanted a boy...

It's a great day! My cat Ke-Ke is too cute! Over 2 years ago, I stopped by my cousins house in Nebraska. Ke-ke traveled with me and she stayed at her house. Her daughter became real fond of my cat and now when they talk about me, she says, "Is that Ke-Ke's mom?" Well, my mom, dad and I are headed out there in a couple weeks and I thought I'd bring a picture of Ke-ke for her. I tried to take a couple last night and they were ok. All of a sudden she sat down on the balcony and posed for me and I got the the cutest picture EVER!

2. My dog, Nova, is just as cute, but when you try and take a good picture, she won't look at the camera. So I try and get her attention and she comes right up to you...it sucks! I'll try and get a good one for her though! I just want to say how smart this dog and cat really are. They say that they can sense when you are pregnant, and it's so true. The other day, I was sitting down and I felt the baby move, right then, Nova came up to me. She began to lick my stomach, right where the baby was! It made me smile because I could tell that she was going to take care of this child like she does Liam already!

Here's an older pic of the two animals...

The Dark Night

Jon and I went to see The Dark Night at 10:15 AM this weekend...it was pretty good! The only thing that sucked was that I drank too much and my bladder was full. I was trying to hold it, but just like clockwork....the baby started to kick or do something to my bladder. I had to literally run to the bathroom in hopes that I make it (I did). It was pretty funny that he/she decided that it was the perfect time to play congas on my bladder! lol!

5 months!

So, today, I'm officially 5 months. Honestly, you probably couldn't tell. I'm wearing my regular jeans today. I need to take some pictures so everyone can see me at the 5 month mark and on up to the end. My mom made a comment that made me feel positive about it....it's just less weight I have to lose at the end! True. I'm hoping to lose more weight than I gain afterwards so I can look good for my wedding!

We live in a hole

So, Liam and I went and took the most recent pictures of our house this weekend. In those 3 years, I definately have my ups and downs, as does everyone. I could see myself staying here for the rest of my career. They are very good to me, treat me well and it's a good work enviornment.

Recently, I have been MISERABLE. I don't want to get up in the morning, I don't want to go to work and I can't wait to leave work 10 minutes into the day. This doesn't make for a very happy employee. Today especially. I don't want ANYONE to talk to me here! I want to be left alone!

I have been having a hard time lately anyway about friends (or the lack there of) and especially people that I used to be friends with and now, for some reason come into town a lot and don't ever contact me, but they contact my mom.

So, I thought the people I work with were, to some extent "friends" of mine. I've come to realize they don't give two craps about me! I am tired of being excluded for no reason.

There are quite a few things they do that hurt me, but the one that has got me in the "leave me alone" stage today is this:

Yesterday, they got together (everyone except me) to have a meeting about one of our clients, then they had a conference call, they didn't even tell me about. Usually we tell everyone b/c we only have 2 lines, and if I had a conference call at the same time, there would be a problem. Nope, no warning! Then, they had a 4 page list of things they needed to do for this company. This morning, my boss hands me this 4 page list and tells me to test all of the issues or talk to the people who need to make the change. I was not included in what was going on, and then I have to do all the leg work!?!

Also, a while back, they asked me to take a promotion and they would hire people under me that I would have to supervise...I was very excited and happy about this. Well, they just offered a position to someone. I had no idea they were even doing it. I don't think I should have the final decision, but I thought I would have some sort of say!

The problem with this company is that it's so family based. By family based, I mean the president, 1 of the vice presidents and 2 other employees are from the same family. Me and 1 other guy are the only ones that are not in that family. This is going to be their downfall. They just hired one family member 6 months ago and he has more say in decisions then me! He is 3 years younger than me, does nothing all day, knows nothing, smokes too much pot (and other drugs) and cigarettes and then the gets to make big company decisions that I'm not even aware of!?! One day, I was bored and looking around the internet on how to make extra cash and i found this PayPerPost website!

I'm trying this out and seeing if I can make some extra money for my upcoming expenses (i.e. wedding, baby and new house!) I have recently had to pay for my own health insurance. Let me tell you, this is horrible! Health insurance is a rip-off (but that's another place and another time). So, now I am trying to make money online. I'm excited to try this out because it will give me a subject to talk on other than my everyday life. I know everyone (including me) could use some extra cash!

It doesn't cost anything, you just sign up, they approve your blog and then you pick the subject you want to write about! You get paid different amounts depending on the subject. It's just that easy!

If you are interested in trying to make some extra money online (I know you are Kresta)...try this link! drive traffic

And start making money today!

Too much to handle!

How much is too much? Within the next 15 months, I am building and moving into a new house, having my first child and getting married! I started to think about it the other day and got really nervous. I'm going to do as much as I can to get ready for all 3.

I decided that right now, I am going to get my wedding basics completed and finalized. I think I need to schedule the reception and wedding area's and then I can focus on the baby stuff and then I can focus on the house and moving and then I can focus more on the baby stuff and then the wedding again! *Sigh* Uh!!

I asked Jon to help me out. He's the one that wants a nice reception and everything, so I told him it was his choice. Well, typical guy, he didn't do anything! He's had since March! So, now I hear through the grapevine that September is a busy month and they are booked over a year in advanced for that month...now I'm in overload, with as much that is going on with regular life and work, this is going to be hard, but it's gotta be done!

Thank God for email! I can email all the reception locations, get prices and scedule tastings at the click of a button! We got our first "Baby Pictures" a.k.a. the ultrasound! It's kind of scary to think that I am going to be a mom. I'm sure I'll be a good one, but I'm also sure that I can always do better! The minute I saw the baby, I got choked up. It felt like I had a million different emotions that wanted to come out all at once. Jon had tears in his eyes as he looked at the monitor and tried to figure out the sex by himself.

This is pretty much the first pregnancy for the both of us. He was there for the first few months of Karen's pregnancy with Liam, but they he was shipped off to Iraq. He didn't get to be there for her midnight cravings and everything. He is really excited that he gets to be there for this baby, and so am I!

The lady doing the ultrasound kept calling it a "him", which is fine by me (but not by Jon). Jon wants his little girl, and I just don't know what to do with girls...they are so foreign to me! She told us that our baby is 7.87 centimeters long and weighs about 3 oz. I am about 14 weeks along. In getting pregnant, my only stipulation was that it isn't a Christmas baby. I truly believe that Christmas babies get jipped out of presents. Well, they gave me a due date of December 23 - January 1. What?!? The one thing I asked for...oh well! I'm sure I will be happy no matter what, it just stinks that it's at the most inopportune time!

Heartbeat

So, I heard the baby's heartbeat yesterday...I started to choke up. Now, you have a nice day.

God

Thankful

I know that most of my blogs are negative, and I'm going to try and change that and give a better mixture. So, I thought I'd write about a couple things I'm thankful for.

I am thankful that I have such an awesome fiancee. I came home last night at about 4:30. He had worked from 6am - 2pm, then picked up his son and cleaned the house spotless. We have been going non-stop and I'm exhausted all the time that we haven't kept up on the cleaning...well, the house look amazing!

I am thankful that I have a beautiful "step son". Although he isn't technically mine yet, I'm grateful that he will be. He is so loving and kind and I just adore him.

I am grateful for my job. My boss is awesome, my co-workers are awesome! Although I do get frustrated a lot with them, they are very caring and concerned with our personal lives. When Liam is sick, there is no issue with me calling off...when I'm sick or even tired, they pretty much make me go home :) The pay is awesome! The traveling is awesome! We have been in a horrible building for 15 years, and FINALLY we bought a building. We will be moving in September or October (the same time I'm moving into my house) and I can't wait! They are having a celebratory party and inviting all of our family members!

I am happy to be where I am...I am going to the Doctor's tomorrow...I'm pregnant again. I hope everything works out this time. I am further along than I was last time, so I'm hoping I'm almost out of harms way! We'll find out soon! :)

House

My mom is selling her house. We had tickets to the Indy 500, so we picked him up on memorial day and had him until June 3rd. I love the kid, but he was a handful. I'm not his mom, so it's hard when Jon's working and I'm taking care of him like his mom. Him and i have an AWESOME relationship, but he missed his mom and started to act up. She didn't even call him once the entire 9 days we had him. Finally, the sunday before she was to come home, Jon called her a left her a message saying that she needs to talk to her son! When she called back, she said, "Oh! Did I forget to tell you that I didn't go on the cruise??" No, you didn't "forget", you did that on purpose! She said it was last minute and that she went to California instead! We aren't dumb enough to think that you cancelled a cruise and got a plane ticket last minute. We know it was planned in advanced. We wouldn't have cared if she went somewhere else, she's entitled to a vacation...but obviously, she doesn't care enough about her son to let us know where she in case he got hurt or something. Oh well!

FYI

Last night, Jon got home from work about 11:20p.m. The minute he walked throught the bedroom door, I could tell something was wrong and I kept saying, "What?". He just walked over, plopped on the bed, put his face in my arms and started to bawl! He was so upset, so my heart stopped thinking someone died or something...

He finally calmed down enough to explain to me that some guy at work decided that it would be funny if they set off a fire work at the end of the night. Jon FREAKED OUT! He said he freaked so bad that he was mortified and humiliated. He instantly got a pounding headache, ringing in his ears and shaking constantly. He carpools with one of his friends and Jon had drove yesterday, his friend had to drive his car home, he was so bad. I didn't ask for details, but he was definately mortified.

For those of you who don't know why Jon would react this way, here's why...He served 15 months over in Iraq. In the middle of his tour, his convoy was struck by a roadside bomb. He was thrown against the window and caused a concussion. He was out for almost 48 hours and now he has resulting issues from it.

Just so you guys know, as the Fourth of July is coming up...please be respectful to other people...you don't know who could be one of our soldiers and none of them can EVER get over what they heard and saw there! I think it calmed both of our hearts.

We got there and sat and took a deep breath, she showed up with her "Best Friend" Jeff. When they got called in, Jeff and I talked (I went to school with him and knew him ok). He pretty much kept on saying that she was a b**** and that his girlfriend didn't like her because she's a b**** and she's "not the brightest". It made me laugh, but I didn't say anything bad.

Karen came out first and she looked pissed! She looked at me and said "He's in the clerk's office, if you wanna go there." She was kind of snappy, but I didn't think anything of it! :) Well, they took the elevator, and Jon looked at me and said, "Let's walk" with a big smile on his face. So, we walked down the 5 stories and he told me what happened.

They got in there and the judge asked why they were there. Karen said that he owed over $800. Jon said his heart stopped. The judge asked if Jon had a print out, but he just has his stubs. So he started to read off all his stubs and after each one, Karen would say, "I got that one." and Karen looked a Jon with a snotty look and Jon just ignored it. The judge took a second, and said, "I'm calculating that Jon is up to date." Karen's only defense was, "Well, I might have calculated wrong..." WHAT?!? You calculated that he owed you over $800, when he has already over paid you $250?! The judge looked at Karen and said, "So, what do you want with us here, why are you here??" Karen said, "I don't know." Well, the judge asked Jon if he had any questions, and he brought up a few and got those settled, but they upset Karen. So, she stomped out!

I'm not happy that she was put in her place (okay, I am!), but I'm happy that the judge could see that Karen is only in it for the money. I hope she keeps this up and pisses the judge off because she's tried to hold him in contempt 2 times in the last 5 months and he wasn't either time! I think she was trying to get more money for this cruise......

Creepy!

So, yesterday, Karen asked Jon out of the blue if his Life Insurance from when he was in Iraq was still valid...WHAT? I just kept saying, "It doesn't seem right..." Well, the reason it doesn't is because she taking him to court for other reasons! I had that feeling!

Jon and Karen are supposed to split day care expenses. They invoice her and she never tells us how much they owe. One day last week, I went in to pay some money and the lady says that we have a big balance that needs to be staightened out ASAP. Well, I saw the balance, it was about $500. So, I asked for a print out so that I can figure out if any of it's Jon's or hers. Well, when I got the sheet, I noticed that 2 weeks before she filed the court hearing, day care went down $30/week and she didn't tell him!

Karen works for Purdue North Central in the writing area...summer's coming! She's not going to have a job...SHE WANTS MORE CHILD SUPPORT. I honestly think she filed the lawsuite when he was just a couple days late to pull him in and ask for more. I think she's going to blind-side him with this information.

Don't worry! We got it covered...she's the one that owes the whole $500 to day care, Jon is actually ahead by 3 weeks :) So, we paid her child support in advanced all the way up to the day she leaves for her cruse. By the time she leaves for the cruise, that money will probably be gone. We aren't paying more child support till the day before she leaves, so she won't get it till she comes back. Then, we are presenting the money that she owes to day care and we are telling the judge that they want it paid NOW, so then she'll have to pay it before she goes :) Less money to spend on her cruse :)

She's the type where everyone takes care of her. Last summer, she didn't work and her parent's paid for everything. She applied for a job that is in Chicago for 1 day a week for this summer. We think she's thinking she's going to be able to work this 1 day a week and get more child support...I hope to God that the judge says NO! She should have to work full time this summer. But, even if the judge makes her get a job, she'll drag her feet!

Please, someone tell me that the judge will make her work so that he won't get stuck paying more child support while she spends his money on herself!?!

To spank or not to spank...?

So Saturday at about 4pm, I took Liam to the bathroom at Jon's parent's house. We had picked up Liam at noon and it had been some time...Well, I noticed that his bottom was REALLY red, so I asked him if he got spanked. He said yes, Grandma had spanked him. Well, I had been around Jon's mom (and I know she wouldn't do that) and so I knew it was Karen's mom. He started to tell Jon, Jon's dad and myself about his grandma that got mad at him and pulled down his pants and spanked him bare-handed.

Now, Jon and I aren't against her spanking him, we are against his bottom still being red and he told us it happened the day before! Well, Liam is 3 years old and is a REALLY good kid. I just have to threaten a time out and he straighens up! Well, the part that broke our hear was when he looked at Jon and said,"It's not good Dad, not good at all." We took pictures and tried to be ok with it.

Well, Liam and I were talking last night (tuesday night...4 days after the first incident) and he told me that she spanked him again while he was in the bath. He said she closed the curtain (come to find out that it was the shower curtain) and spanked him because he was crying for his mom! WHAT?!? I asked him to show me by hitting the bed how many times and how hard she hit him. He hit it 2 times REALLY hard. My heart sank :( I recorded him telling me the story of his grandma. I tried to make it not a big deal, but it's bothering me. He's such a good kid that doesn't need to be diciplined in that way! When I do RARELY have to put him in a time out, he understands why and is such a good kid that just sits there and looks around till I come get him. He totally understands why he's in trouble and learns not to do it!

What do I do? How does Jon react to this? He's going to try and talk to Karen, but she won't return his calls! I guess we'll just have to wait till we go for full custody and bring up all our issues with pictures and all!

The Wicked Witch of my life!

I found her! The Wicked Witch! Karen, Jon's ex is probably the biggest Witch I have ever met...and trust me, I know a few! lol. Well, okay...sorry if this story takes too long, but I have to give the back-story first.

Karen and Jon's divorce was finalized in December 2007. Jon owed her like $700 and was laid off, so he talked to her and she said it was fine and that she would give him time...she gave him not even a week to pay her over $900. She filed a lawsuit and by the time they went in the end of February, he was paid up and the judge told her that she needs to stop jumping to conclusions...it was more of an "okay, I can't do anything because he's paid" and she told Jon, not that she would do it, but she technically could throw him into jail.

Okay, so he has been switching jobs around. In the middle of March, she told him that if he doesn't pay her that she is going to court because she was late on her student loans because he hadn't paid. (Side note: She needs to use his child support for her student loans, yet your son doesn't have shoes that fit OR a winter coat, so we bought him EVERYTHING!?!) We told her that he just got paid on Friday and that we would pay it on Monday, which we did and we paid up through April 1.

She filed another lawsuit on April 4th. Jon went on the 9th and paid through the end of April and then went home to find a summons to court. The funny thing is that April 4th is the day that her whorish self got dumped by her boyfriend. ALSO...the last time she filed a court hearing, it was like a month and a half between filing and the actual court hearing, this time it's a month??? I'm guessing she told them that the 3rd week of May she's going on a cruise with her lesbian lover (yet to be proved, but they have a weird relationship...). So, she probably had them bump up the court date so she can get her money before that...well, she's got her money! Another thing...last court date, Jon told the Judge that he's been trying to get it directly taken out of his paycheck, but they hadn't. The Judge told him that she'll summons it and it should take 5-7 weeks. Well, it had only been about 5 weeks since the last court date. In the papers she filed, she is bringing him to court because he hasn't got it taken out of his paycheck...THAT WAS THE JUDGE'S DOING!!!

We were trying this "friendship" thing with her...not anymore! I told Jon she's not allowed in my house. When she came to pick Liam up on Sunday, we were all waiting outside. We said our goodbye's to him and got in our car and left while her and this guy she brought to make Jon jealous just stood out in front of my apartment! lol.

We are building a house. We decided not to tell her till it's completely done and then say, "Oh, yeah, by the way, from now on Liam will be picked up and dropped off from the house behind Jon's parent's house." She knows Jon wanted to build a house back there and she knows that it's just land right now, so when we say that, it'll be a big slap in her face. Jon wanted to build a house with her back there, but she didn't want to because she said, "Then we can't fight." WHAT?!? Jon's parent's aren't those type of people who butt into everything! Jon said he thinks what it ultimately is is the fact that she wants it all right now...she wants a $500,000 house immediately, instead of starting with a "starter home". Well, when we started to talk about building it, we decided that we were going to get a modular with a full basement and then get a bigger one or build on to the one we have! Well, the more I look a the house and talk about what we are going to do with the basement, the more I realize that we might not move! It's going to be the perfect size for us!

I hope this all ends. It's not good for the child. Jon and I maintain not saying anything in front of him, or not allowing any negativity about her. I know she doesn't follow those rules though...she's already said stuff about us and he's repeated it. Jon's dad gave us good advice. Treat Liam the best you can and don't say anything negative about his mom and no matter what she says, he'll form his own opinion and he'll hate the fact that she talks so badly about you guys and maybe one day he'll tell her that she's wrong. That's all we can do!♠

Letting it all out

I know, It's been a while. I suck. I have been sooooo....busy. Jon and I are finally engaged. His ex-wife got mad an yelled at him yesterday because we didn't tell her. She's the reason I haven't been able to celebrate ANYTHING! He purposed on thursday night, Saturday, she had Liam's birthday party and last night (tuesday) we had his party...she saw the ring on my finger and saw the "Congrats" on myspace and got pissed. Last year, at Liam's birthday party, Jon told her he wanted a divorce and this year she finds out he's engaged. She acts like she truely thinks they are going to get back together...they aren't!

New

I am new to this...just thought I'd try it out.

Right now in my life, I am completely happy.
